OUr Story
Riverside Indie Fest was conceived in the spring of 2025 with the goal of fostering a music scene in the village of Riverside, Rhode Island. Home to the beautiful Crescent Park, festival founders Paul Mendence and Austin Crevier saw potential to take the great music happening all over the bi-state area in small clubs and basements out into the spotlight of the broader community.

Diving in head first, the two had to learn everything needed to know to host a music festival with less than 6 months to prepare. All preparing in the world couldn't prepare them for the amount of running around they'd do on festival day. Despite this, the day came and went astonishingly well. Perfect weather, and a dedicated, supportive community made the event one many would remember forever.
Before the idea was even discussed, the sentence, "see you next year!" had already been said countless times. While the thought was daunting, the answer to the question " Do we do this again?" was a swift and definitive yes. With a year under their belt, there was a confidence in the ability to do it all again. Only the ambitions grew. And suddenly, the budget was trying to squeeze in two side by side stages. With the help of local sponsors, food truck and vendor management, the city, and the advice of others, they somehow managed to make it happen again. Only this time community came out in numbers three times higher than the previous year.
Because of the photographers, bands, park management, city council, community members, local artists, and many others, this independent event created from an immense passion for community through music continues to live on.
The core goals of Riverside Indie Fest are to support local music and artists and make the community more accessible to anyone who may not have had access otherwise. To create something that will harbor memories that will last forever.
Riverside Indie fest has and always will be free for anyone to experience. Come join us in September 2027. We will build it, all you have to do is rock. We'll see you soon.

Hand - Engraved Drinking Glass
The "Riverside Indie Fest" drinking glass is a collaborative effort by the RIF team. Each glass is hand engraved by one of our devoted team members.
Each glass is fitted with a unique message on the underside of the glass.
Purchasing one of these glasses is not only a contribution to making this festival possible, but a piece of local history made with passion and care for our music community.
